What is a Digipak?
It's a modern approach to CD/DVD packaging, usually made of thick cardboard, and allowing the possibility of including a lot of information on the band/artist in the form of a small stapled booklet that is inserted into a small pocket in the digipak. They are visually pleasing, allowing sophisticated graphics that can run across all the panels establishing a graphic theme. They can come with 4, 6 or 8 panels that fold outwards. They allow the possibility of including more than one disc, perhaps in the form of a DVD extras or additional recordings, that accompanies the release of a song, album or DVD.

What is Inside a Digipak
  1. Graphic design - Visual style; establishing on the front of the digipak is continued on inner panel.
  2. Acknowledgements - Information of particular tracks.
  3. Images of artist - Visual branding of the artist/band.
  4. Repeat of track list - Which includes more detail behind the track.
What is Outside a Digipak
  1. Artist name - Large font and also clear, and very clear to read.
  2. Track listing - Same font as band/artist or album name.
  3. Production information - Copyright and year of production, web address, record label and logo/name.
  4. Promotional sticker.
  5. Image of artist - Echoing visual style and colour scheme of front cover.
